CBD Oil for Cancers

There are few diseases that are more deadly than cancer. CBD oil has shown to not just help alleviate many of the symptoms that accompany cancer and side effects from treatments, but they have also shown an affinity for shrinking malignant tumors. When someone hears the word cancer slip from their doctor’s lips, it may feel like a death sentence. This does not have to be the case with many forms of cancer thanks to the advancements in medical technology. Early detection is key in being able to find a way to manage and live with cancer so that it’s possible to work toward a normal as possible future. Not one article is adequate enough to cover all the types of cancers and how they can affect someone’s life, as well as their loved ones.

What is cancer?

Cancer can affect any part of the body and is essentially a cell that has grown abnormally and multiplied uncontrollably, called metastasis. It typically presents itself as a tumor — benign being non-cancerous and malignant meaning cancerous. There are more common cancers that can occur for which research has determined methods to put someone in remission. There are a few curable cancers, but there are also ones that take lives more aggressively than others. The American Cancer Society lists 73 different types of cancers and each one comes with its own set of issues. Primary and secondary cancers exist. Secondary meaning that they have metastasized from the primary source. For example, bone cancer can be secondary to cancer that originated in the breast.

What are the most common types of cancer?

The types of cancer can be related to gender. Skin cancer is the most common cancer among both genders, while prostate cancer is second most common in men and breast cancer in women.  Some of the most common types of cancer include:

  • Non-melanoma skin cancers like basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma are the most common forms, affecting more than one million Americans each year. Basal cell has signs that include sores that do not heal; small, shiny, smooth lumps on skin; pale, flat areas of skin that look like scars; sores or growths that bleed and itch; and more. Essentially, a doctor should be seen for any suspicious skin issues.
  • Breast cancer has 266,120 new cases diagnosed in 2018. It presents itself as a tumor in the breast, in the armpit, and/or under the collarbone. It can be an obvious size or undetectable without tests. Pain and nipple discharge are also symptoms, along with a host of others.
  • Lung cancer presented itself in about 234,030 new cases in 2018. Symptoms can consist of coughing up blood and a persistent cough that does not let up. Other symptoms include wheezing, losing weight without effort, loss of appetite, and many others. The problem is that lung cancer does not tend to show symptoms until it’s advanced.
  • Prostate cancer is estimated to be diagnosed in about 191,930 new cases in 2020 and typically in men over 55. Symptoms include painful urination or not being able to withhold it, as well as frequent urination and blood in the urine. Pain during or trouble ejaculating can also be an issue.
  • Colon and rectal cancer will probably account for about 147,950 cases in 2020 and is the second most common non-gender related cancer diagnosed. Early detection is helpful is successful treatment; however, most cases do not present symptoms until it has reached an advanced stage.

The cancers that higher rates of being put into submission are prostate, thyroid, testicular, melanoma, and early stage breast cancer. Cancer research and their effective treatments still have a long way to go. Some of the cancers that have the highest mortality rates include prostate (due to late symptoms), breast (due to late symptoms), pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancer.

What are the common symptoms of cancer and possible causes?

There are many signs that signal to the patient that may be heading to a cancer diagnosis but tend to ignore them. This happens because the common signs of aging are so closely related to disease, so people chalk them up to getting older. Certain inherited genetic defects can cause cancer with an increase in the risk of cancer in those who have had infections. CBD oil can help alleviate many of symptoms of cancer, as well as the side effects from the harsh treatments. Common symptoms include:

  • Pain
  • Weight loss without effort
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Skin changes
  • Sores that don’t heal
  • Unusual bleeding
  • Anemia
  • Persistent cough

Many of the treatments are harsh to the entire body, such as radiation and chemotherapy to kill off the bad cells. The problem is that they also kill off the good sells, causing many other health issues that some deem worth the risks.

CBD oil and cancer?

The body’s endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is responsible for the body’s homeostasis. Studies reveal that creating a balance with the addition of CBD into the ECS can help alleviate symptoms of cancer. CBD in any form can help those who have developed cancer and have lost their appetite due to nausea from chemotherapy. CBD oil can either add to or take the place of other medications, even after someone has gone through a vast array of solutions that did not work. Acute and chronic are factors that need dealt with and CBD has proven it is an extremely effective pain reliever. It also deals with the inflammation that causes the pain.

Picking a high quality, organic CBD oil that contains less than 0.3% THC can do wonders for anyone who is fighting a variety of forms of cancer. Reports have shown CBD oil to help with the nausea from chemo, anxiety and depression involved in fighting a terminal illness, insomnia, and neuropathy issues. Research throughout the decades has shown that CBD oil is extremely beneficial for over 50 conditions, and cancer is no different.
